  • Yes, the name is "Zigeunerpolka" (which means "Gypsy polka"). It's danced in Germany & Austria; if it really is from Poland is open for discussion.

  • i know this dance too

  • Additional: The tune is also known in Poland. Search for "SPIT JANTAR - Krakowiak", and listen to the first tune of the medley. It´s the 14th century part of the Zigeunerpolka in a special Polish version...

  • I don´t know whether this dance is known in Poland or not, but it´s the folk dance hit #1 in the Czech Republic, and there best-known as Reznik resp. Reznicka. But the extreme age of the tune forbids any discussions of nationality: the first part dates back at least to the 14th (!!) century, the 2nd part comes fro, a dance by Melchior Franck (1604), and the dance figure of the 2nd part is best-known to English country dancers - as part of "Parson´s Farewell", another Renaissance evergreen...

  • and it´s from poland???

  • this is the name of this dance??? Zigeunerpolka ????
