I don't understand why Walt has just been dropped out of LOST & as far as im aware isn't returning for season 6.

like the first 2 seasosn they played on him being ''special'' so much but he just left the island & that was that, they never seemed to explain how he could throw knives/kill birds/predict birds flying to their death etc etc.

+ he has a premonition of Locke dying & being taken over (the episode where locke visits walt at school he comments on his dream)

@tvrulesnation I totally agree with you! But I think the writers had an issue with the actor growing up faster than the time span in which the plot of LOST took place. Try watching the video "Lost - Some Hard-Core Nerd Questions (Paley Center Interview)" @ 1:15 where the writers answer questions about Walt. Hope this helps!

@tvrulesnation The writers said they always intended that Walt would have psychic control over animals, but the actor aged too quickly and so they had to write him off of the island. once the series was over and they wrote the 12 minute epilogue "The New Man in Charge", it is shown that Walt is still "special" and goes back to the island.

@MeideC On some special features, they say he grew up too fast. Which is why they had to skip forward on the season he returned in to make it seem like he had grown a few years. Maybe that had to be why they dropped him.

I like how people who (presumably) end up as the islands protecter have supernatural powers before hand. Hurley had his ghosty visions and Walt... could kill birds. I kinda thought that at some point Miles might be an important part of the island, because of being a medium and all.
