I thought this song went perfectly with him since... well... you know. The ending just shows that they're friends again, not that they got together. :) This is my favoritefavorite movie and I love Duckie. He's annoying but amazing. :D

Duckie and Andie originally ended up together but Hughes was put under pressure to change the ending by the studio. Ringwald also felt the ending with Duckie wasn’t right and said she felt he was more like a brother

Sorry, this is the SAFE ending. She would have ended up leaving Duckie later because she is not in love with him. She would relive the story of her own mother and father. That is the entire point of the movie. Risk it all for TRUE LOVE...don't settle.
