@Eseercam If you had a time machine, you would also have to take all of your money back with you, because you would probablly earn less if things cost less.

A working man's regular wages were around $400 / month. That was petty good money at that time.
A regular chocolate bar 10 cents
A bottle of Coke 5 cents (plus 2 cent deposit)
A gallon of gasoline < 25 Cents.
A new house around $10,000
$25 was a fair amount of money in 1959.
