Demonstrating how a firestarter, petroleum jelly (vaseline) and cotton ball, greatly facilitates making a fire with flint and blade.

  • Is she bare foot also?

  • Dryer lint with a drop or two of liquid hand sanitizer works excellent for fire starting, especially with a ferro or mag rod.

The sanitizer is cheaper than Vaseline or petroleum jelly and more combustible, and dryer lint is, well, free. Plus, the hand sanitizer can be carried in your first aid kit as a disinfectant for small wounds; scratches, scrapes and bug bites.

  • In my opinion a cottonball/vasiline firestarter is the best tinder
