Gex Walkthrough Part [1/18]: Rocky Horror Picture Show.

Gex the Gecko is a nifty PS1 game by Crystal Dynamics it was created in the era that PS1 games were still up and coming so they were pretty much 2D at the time. Gex is by no means a super game but I love it. Gex really has personality (Couch potato who knows too many movie quotes) and he doesnt really shut up.

This will be my new project I already pre-recorded about 5 videos and I will post them day by day. I have another question by the way what do you think of the quality I used some hocus pocus in WMM to make the screen widescreen but it does kind of give up a bit of quality so what do you guys think?

@TonberryDon Your wrong actually. Gex was made by Crystal Dynamics but not for the Playstation 1. Crystal Dynamics we're actually the one of the first developers for the 3D0 for which Gex was originally intended. But since the 3D0 was a flop, they jumped ship to PS1, Saturn and PC. The truth is when it come to rendering 2D sprites the 3D0 was more capable than the PS1 but it had nowhere near the capabilities of the PS1 for 3D rendering. Some trivia for you there dood.

@shadowsmexxii112 You can probably buy an used copy in second hand stores. Try ebay or amazon aswell. The PC version should be easier to find by the way.

Gex! I loved Gex; my cousin had it for the PS1. I never played any of the other Gex games, though. Speaking of Gex, whatever happened to him? He's now in the same boat as Croc and Bug, in terms of "missing" platformer characters.

I do like the wider video size. I don't think the video quality is an issue.

He had some reruns on the N64 and the PS1 but after that pretty much disappeared just like Croc and Bug...

It's a shame because Gex really had a good vibe around him.

After this playthrough I might start a Gex 3: Deep cover gecko run but let's finish this one first haha.

oh god this was such a hard game for me
