I wish people would get this right. The clock is called St Stephen's Clock Tower. It is the bell used to chime the hour which is called 'big ben'.

Good point, it wouldn't be as alarming to an American as it is to the Brits, though once CBS Evening News had a story on the expenses and a few on CNN so I thought the AP would report to one up the competition.

Because its the British peoples tax money. So whilst it still makes good news (because all three of the mainstream political partys have made quite a cockup) i dont think that many other people care that much as its nothing to do with there money :D... im guessing that Associated Press is American.. never heard of them b4 ;p
