They are better with privatizing it. Government monopolies are never great.

I bet almost all the people in this video work for PEMEX! Pemex is a corrupt organisation that filters money from the people. Where have all the record profits from the oil industry over the last few years gone?

It follows logic. Check the magic years
1810
1910
So next one seems to be...
2010

Pemex can expand on revenue, the solution is to cut taxes and reinvest.

President Lazaro Cardenas, a distant relative of mine, legacy of oil nationalization is ingrained in the Mexican psyche. Good luck trying to privatize that countries oil.

Save your ideological dribble, and consider that the state run Pemex has been used as a social slush fund, with little having been invested in exploration and modernization. Pemex is also falling victim to declining production from once abundant sources. Pemex is missing out on the opportunity to capitalize on record high crude prices and abundant social spending mandates, Pemex cannot expand production or revenue alone, if nothing is done in 20 years Pemex will collapse, who will suffer?

This is all part of the SPP/North American Union plans. You can't merge a nationalized economy with a CORPORATIZED one, so this is just getting Mexico ready for the big push to merge with USA and Canada.

Privatize the oil in Mexico would only make Exxon/Mobil richer. Who do you think would be behind this? In essence there would be less production and less refining in order to artificially boost the price of oil and gas. Someone needs to look in President Calderon's bank account.

Unfreakingbelievable. I wonder if the CIA told him to privatize or else.
mexico is run by a parasite oligarchy with ties to the elites in the US

For a gov't, any gov't, or any gov't official to consider privatizing its oil industry at a time when oil is going for $120/brrl, & quite possibly could see $200/brrl before the end of the year, is nothing less than treasonous. I would be shocked to see the Mexican people allow this to happen. I predict we'd see civil war in Mexico before we see the privatiziation of PEMEX.
