Just saw Return to Forever IV A couple weeks ago in Minneapolis. Chick, Lenny, Stanley, all of them played like they were performing for the Queen of England and international television. Purely professional, crucial attention to sound and acoustics. Outstanding.

I have been a fan of Chick Corea for over 35 years now. He is one of Earth's Musical Ambassadors if you will. His music never dies, it reaches out and communicates even unto others throughout the Universe. I play piano myself and Chick will always be my inspiration. We are so priviledged to have him here with us playing the greatest music of all. Jazz! Oh, and if you see who he hangs out with,WOW, what an all star Cast.....! Excellent documentary.

What makes it so enjoyable is how he takes something already identifiable, to a new place. You hear it for the first time, you can't believe he went there, it makes perfect sense on the sheet, yet there's something about the way it resonates inside Take the outro for example. He's got the Latin thing with the vocals happenin' and then just two little measures at 5:55-6:00 are this fusion progression that is just so.... the only word I can come up with is "Forever" :)
