What inspired Jason Dolby to put on a "One Hour Long Cycle" event when in competition it only lasts 10 minutes?
Nothing like this has ever been done in the USA before, I felt it was time. In Russia, lifting for very long periods of time is not uncommon. The mental toughness and focus that the Russian sportsmen and sportswomen harness is remarkable. "Why not here?", Jason asked himself.
Sergey Rachinskiy was the biggest inspiration for Jason's upcoming strength endurance event. This man is the ultimate kettlebell sportsman! He has the mental strength of 20 men! Just a few of his accomplishments are: 5,555 jerks with a 24kg kettlebell in 12 hours without stopping(world record), 212 consecutive barbell squats using 100kg(220lbs)(world record), 720 repetitions in Long Cycle with a 24kg kettlebell in 1 hour(world record), Honored Master of Sport, Master of Sport World Class, Honored Coach of Russia, 9-time World Champion, 12-time Champion of Russia. Jason said he could only dream to attain that kind of focus and drive.
So why not start somewhere? Jason Dolby inviting others to take part in this participation event and join me as we work hard for a great cause!
