Paul Vunak talks about power which cosists mainly by those attributes, accurate timing, correct placement of technique, mental application and body mechanics.
that is correct. those are all sports, not 'martial', which is defines as that which is used in a war. i cannot speak to muay that as i dont know the backround on that. jujitsu, however, COULD be called a MA since it WAS used by the samurai as their hand-to-hand martial tactics.
Alright, so would i be right in saying that boxing, kickboxing, muay thai kick boxing are NOT martial arts? (except for the actual martial art of Muay Thai, but that could also be wrong too)
I agree, and I also say power is the ability to move your strength to where it can do you the most good.

Cool. Yeah the traditional japanese jiujitsu is a martial art, but not the crappy grappling homoerotic version of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.
