(1987 Movie) Years have passed, and all the Bradfords, with the exception of Nicholas, have moved out of their Sacramento home and started their own lives. They get together for their father's birthday celebration, and bind together to solve a crisis at his place of employment.
That instanta -matic camera Rich is using was cutting edge back in 87(and many yrs before that) hard to believe(from my 40yr perspective) its totally obsolete now in everyway...what Patten said in the first part about time moving at such quicker pace as you get older rings true...the days of waiting long periods of time for things to change in your lifetime shortens as you get older (both in a personal sense and in life as a whole)

Alot of series finales (or reunion shows)of family shows often involve the selling or leaving of the house which makes sense as these characters you grow to love are in a TV sense leaving your own home ...the Happy Days series probably did it best as the cast acknowledged the fans (while still in character) from their tv home right into our own homes
