  • It's amazing how sincere prayer makes people express God's lovingkindness to all humanity while bible thumping and crusades 'against them" too often sound like hatred.

  • A very precious friend of mine e-mailed me something about this 93 year old woman and I just googled her. I found this absolutely spirit filled person whose voice makes the insides of me quiver! She reminds me of my own mother who died about 8 3/4 years ago and who was bprn about 6 years before this gentle woman.

  • Recently I read a novel called THE ROSARY to my wife and featured in it was this song! I had thought the song was made up for the novel but I googled it and found it here. I love the song and the novel is very Romantic set in 1910 and a best seller that year about a woman who sings this song which was a number one hit in 1910.You can download the novel free on gutenberg. We read it on the Kindle. It is about a man who becomes blind and finds his true love through this song. For me so beautiful.

  • Was Vera Lynn a Catholic? I would think so until I didnt see anything in my cursory internet search. Just curious, I know the English are very anti-Catholic especially in her time, but does anyone have any contructive input?

  • People who love "God the Father", "Jesus His Son," and allow the "Holy Spirit" to fill and guide them and pray to JESUS as their intersessor/ Lord and Savior, are following the Word of God! I'm sorry but the rosary is NOT from the Word, it is a creation of men!

  • She is the "patron saint" of England esp during the war. Everyone in England loves Vera!

  • Treasured and cherished........will stay in my heart forever.
