KTVU 2 News reporter, Ken Pritchett, interviews Responsible Citizens of California Press Secretary, Yih-Chau Chang, regarding the introduction of California's 2011 Open Carry ban bill--AB 144. This segment aired at 5 PM on January 14, 2011.
If you want to help STOP this bill from even passing the Public Safety Committee. Contact all members and tell them, "As soon as the Police & the Stated of California is legally responsible for the public safety, is the day I will go along with a ban on Open Carry." CA is broke and Portantino is writing these type of bills. Why not make a bill that create more jobs and less taxes. Isn't that what the public needs most of all.
I hate the word "Safety" as an argument against guns. How is the perceived safety of others more important than my right to defend myself? Why should I be defenseless, just to make a cop feel safer? People can be trusted with guns. We pay people to carry guns and they only provide a false sense of security. Why does a cop show up after the crime (fully armed) to take a report?

I've noticed a complete lack of mentioning the 2nd Amendment, or the Supreme Court rulings on these stories.
