A work-in-progress from Appalshop Films, "The Bad Old Days" chronicles the 2006 election and campaign for Judge-Executive in Letcher County, Kentucky. The documentary is scheduled for release in 2008.

  • ok jim ward was not the judge in 2006 he wasnt even the judge in 2002. The judge that was i guess 2001 or 1999 through febuary this year was Jim Wood! I would know cuz hes my grandfather well step. his wife, patty wood is my grandmother.

  • The amount of taxes they pay is nowhere near the amount of support given to these companies by our government (us), nowhere near the destruction they have created, nowhere near the amount of profits they have reaped at the expense of the environment and the workers who have produced for them.

  • Listen folks. Don't forget the enormous taxes the coal amd natural gas companies pay.

  • Then fiscal court, PLEASE stay home. We can't stand much more.

  • The film is scheduled for release in Spring 2008
