My mom looked disapproving and my dad was smiling. People were laughing a little and smiling. There were tears of joy.
And then it began raining as the crowd dispersed. I just stood there as the rain started pouring down. I thought I was alone until I felt a hand on my shoulder. I looked up at Josh who was looking at the casket. I just thought Id say goodbye.

Im shipping back out tomorrow morning and there are some preparations I have to make before I go so I wont get to see you again.

It has been a great pleasure to meet you. He said. I felt a tear slide down my cheek. The rain still pounded down and my tear disappeared in it. My sweet sweet Kierstyn, he murmured placing a finger under my chin. Dont cry. Everything will be okay.
Write me? I asked quietly. He nodded before kissing my forehead. I felt a kind of longing in it. I wanted to hold him. I was scared for him. He turned to leave but I grabbed his hand and pulled him back to me. Placing a kiss on his lips, I felt another tear. The kiss lasted a sweet, innocent moment before we parted. That would be the last time I ever saw Josh.

Yeah. We wrote to each other for a year.
Did, do you love him? I smiled, a tear leaving my eyes.
I do love him, but he- He died when a roadside bomb went off. Thats why the letters stopped. More tears left my eyes.
