I too would like to find everything that is expensive for 15% of the usual going price. Keep reaching for that rainbow.

$100? ha ha in your dreams dude, I paid $700 AUD (including postage) for one from Japan, in mint condition. Postage cost to Australia was a fucker but I have never regretted buying it.

Is it bad to overdrive the input like your doing in the video? Will it damage the unit? Especially when you send it into self oscillation.

@mickooyy No, I don't think so. The tape itself may wear out a little quicker. But in many ways that's actually desirable, don't you think?

what is the pedal you switch on?

@jossmusix That's one of my own designs, called the "Vutron". Some dark, high volume overdrive type thing. This is the earliest incarnation of the circuit. I also made a version without the filter-switches & a volume control called the "Vootron" & one with a dedicated saturation circuit for the bass frequencies called the "Vutronic Overdriver". There's more info & samples about them on my website....

@LesPoetsMusic : Good luck with that! I bought this on ebay for 500 €. Wich is actually cheap considering the popularity of this device. Usually bidding starts at about 600 to 700 €....
