@DareonNXbox If your laptop has a SATA hard drive then yes, it will, and almost all laptops and computers made after like 2007 use SATA.

This video was INCREDIBLY helpful. Mine spontaneously stopped working and Toshiba claimed it was dead and to send it in to be replaced. Instead I followed this, put it in a new casing, and it is good as new.
I have the Canvio 3.0 Plus with the weird rubber along the sides, and I can confirm someone said earlier -- The same technique applies. Just slide the knife under the lip of the top panel (the one with the Toshiba logo and all the pretty pictures), cuz that is the side that pops off.

Thank you, your method will also work with the new Canvio 500GB with rubber around, just start removing from the side that has the big Toshiba logo, This one is SATA.. Thank you yellowy0y0.

I have the exact same drive but the port where you plug in the usb cord has part of the connector chipped off. The light on the drive comes on but it won't read or let me transfer data back and forth is there any way I can salvage the hard drive inside?
