The previous Soundtrack Recordings collaboration of DJ/producer Phil Marwood and singer/songwriter Kellylee Evans yielded "Good Girl," a delightfully seductive deep house single. It was received with much acclaim, earning accolades from the likes of Glenn Underground, K Alexi, Robert Owens, and Hippie Torrales. Now this pairing continues their musical magic with a superb follow-up single, the percussive and jazzy "Stay."

Kellylee Evans is well known in Canada's urban-jazz world, having released the critically acclaimed Fight or Flight album and been awarded "Best Female Artist" at the Canadian Smooth Jazz Awards. The success of "Good Girl" introduced Evans' formidable talent to house music fans worldwide.

The vocals in "Stay" are taken from the song "Stay Awake" on Kellylee Evans' new album The Good Girl. This version was originally produced as a tribute to Studio, a weekly event in Toronto, but morphed into a powerful deep groove with Evens' amazing voice. Phil Marwood's production contribution is awash in proper deep house vibes, with stirring percussion building on top of the groove and a righteous, jazzy organ solo line that builds into lush chords. Evans' voice gently glides on top, given a heavenly tone with extended phrasing and stereo effects. The result is an effective, moving moment in a DJ's vocal house set.
