  • I originally remember seeing this on one of those late night "Rock Concert" or "Midnight Special" shows way back when. One of Elton's best tunes.

  • Ow. That is rare !!!! Elton the best of all time!!!!

  • What a fantastic clip. As it began I began to wonder what synthesizer he could have been playing that sounded so much like a pedal reed organ. Thank you for posting this.

  • @ajpianoman1 If you notice Elton's feet they are pumping.....he's playing what is called a reed organ or parlour organ....it sounds much like an accordion.....and they were often called "harmoniums".......thats my take on it anyhoo....

  • @razorface31 I was wondering the same thing at first. I did a little bit of researching, and it's most likely some kind of primitive synthesizer; using electrical signals to simulate the sound of an organ.

  • what instrument is he playing?

  • @totalrod2 Same.

  • DL the audio from this clip at speedyconversion doht cohm.

  • Nice classic piece!

  • @totalrod2: you find the entire version and lots more on the dvd Goodbye, Yellow Brick Road Classic Albums
