Can i feed catfish pellets to a wild catfish that is in my tank?

You shouldn't have a wild catfish in your tank.

Mine's the standard gravel you get in Petsmart etc. It's pretty smooth I think, but then I'm not a cory catfish with hairy whiskers.
I sloshed it around so much in so many changes of water before I put it in the tank that it probably knocked the edges off too.

It should be ok then. Corydoras are lovely little fish - you won't regret buying them. I wish I still had them.

How do the go with that gravel? I want to get some corys but I've heard it's bad for their barbs.

It was quite fine gravel and there weren't too many sharp edges, so they never hurt their barbels on it. As long as there aren't large sharp chips I think they should be ok.
