Interesting that Vale of Glamorgan was won by Labour at the 2007 and 2011 Welsh Assembly Elections. Also Basildon is obviously moving away from Labour. Opik's result was a bolt from the blue the way it suddenly appeared on the screen.

For some reason they were saying the Tories would hold Eastbourne, when in fact the LDs would gain it.

C gain Vale of Glamorgan, a 6.1% swing. Quite a few Con gains come through, though Labour hold Bolton NE.

Lembit Opik loses Montgomeryshire to the Tories - a shock result and a 13.2% swing.
