THANK YOU for sharing this! I SOOOO MISS the Wallets. Saw them several times in Rock Island Illinois about 1986-1988, and they were always fantastic fun, totally outside-the-box cool. Even talked to some of them a few times at the bar between sets, and they were always NICE--seriously hip but perfectly unpretentious. UH!

I'm in the crowd towards the end of the video. It was shot at First AVE in Minneapolis. I threw the shirt that landed on his head at the very end. So long ago.

I'm glad I found this again--I remember seeing it on Al TV years ago. Excellent song and awesome video!

Ha ha! I haven't heard this song in ages. I remember "Weird" Al sometime in the 80's hosting his show on MTV called AL TV and he played this video. Thanks for posting.

After years of looking for this album, I finally found it in a junk store for a buck!

Was lucky enough to tape this off MTV the one and probably only time those bozos played it. It's always been a favorite. Brilliant video from the sense of humor to the animated Duchamp "Nude Descending Staircase" painting. NOTE: the mouse in Steve's mouth!!! It must be his pet to be so trusting. My tape's sound quality is excellent. Too bad this one is so compressed because the music is way cool too.

Cripes, I used to see these guys in Iowa City--even headed out to Ames at least a coupla times. The Wallets had an EP circa 1983, probably--it had what I assume are original tracks of There Was An Old Lady and Totally Nude and I'm pretty sure Gonznoi was on it too. I'd love to get my hands on that again.

Bless you for keeping this "demented" favorite available to all :)

Thanx! It is a demented 'classic' from the 1989 Dr. D line-up.
