yeahh ive seen a game before...i play on my high school team...and yeah sure you run, pass and communicate but tackling is a big part of the game. Rugby is nothing without tackling. Its what makes the game so much more fun.
we all have different opinions on what rugby is and what it isnt. i have agreed to some of your points on touch rugby but it really doesnt matter because i dont think either side will fully agree with each other. so there really isnt no point on arguing about it but if you wish to then do it.
2.sure but it doesnt preapre you for the realities of rugby.you will be under more pressure under tackling terms.when you're being attacked you dont have much or any time to talk, let alone think.that attacker will def. pounce at you. and it will take much more time to get up (depending on the tackle)
3.thats the good thing
4.i guess.but the best players in my team are short and thin.
no its not the same.you dont CHANGE the way you PLAY.
i didn't learn "touch rugby" to learn full contact. I agree with dreaLee23- there is no point in touch. Tackling and touching are 2 very different things. Sure touch is good to use as a basis of tackling. But i think wrapping is a better way (which my team uses during sucky days) to do so because you're actually already half way through tackling the person and plus it's almost like touching but taken more further. And who are you to judge who plays rugby and who doesn't?
"im a canadian filipina and i play rugby for my highschool team"
Really, How special of you to add that in. Cause if new how to read, the title is Touch Rugby, and if you do play Rugby, which I doubt. Touch Rugby is used as a basis to learn full contact Rugby. So grow up and be pro-active.

Real Rugby is not all about Tackling. If you've seen a game before you will notice that Players will also Run, Pass and Communicate as a team.

...and who are you to say thats not Rugby?
1. Touch Rugby is a higher pace game than rugby. Improves on Speed/Agility.
2. Teams have to defend and attack more precisely. Improves on Communication.
3. Its not as Physical. Injury Free.
4. Not everyones body is built for Rugby.
Its exactly the same with Soccer and Indoor Soccer. But is Indoor Soccer not referred to as a form of Soccer???
And what does being Canadian have anything to do with the subject.
