http://www.webtogs.co.uk/search.php?s=ogre The Mountain Equipment Men's Ogre jacket is made from 3-Layer Gore-Tex Pro Shell Ascendor II fabric. The award winning Ogre Jacket is the workhorse of the Mountain Equipment Range, covering every requirement expected from a mountain waterproof jacket. With no unnecessary fuss, weight or bulk, the Ogre will go all day in all conditions. This premium award-winning jacket has been Mountain Equipments best selling mountaineering jacket for over 5 years.
Mountain Equipment have added more storage to the Ogre jacket this year with the Stratum Storage System, this adds an extra 25% storage to the jacket without compromising the shape, fit or weight. Handy for maps, goggles and any other item you might need to get at fast. The Mountain HC stealth construction hood moves easily whether a helmet is worn or not with 4 way movement giving an excellent full range of visibility even when at full stretch. A climbers heaven in a jacket.
Even the name for the Mountain Equipment Ogre Jacket is steeped in British mountaineering heritage. The Ogre 7,285 meters (23,901 ft) high, is located in the Karokorum range of Pakistan, and is famous for being one of the hardest peaks in the world to climb, 24 years elapsed between the first ascent in 1977 and the second in 2001.
Trail Magazine, October 2009........Definitely one of our favorite jackets of recent years, and the benchmark general- purpose hill-walking jacket in my view. There are no changes from previous years and as this was 'Best in Test' last year it is up to the other brands to come up with something better to shift it from the top slot. It is a little longer than the average jacket, so the hem protects your bum from the wet. There is excellent freedom of movement in the jacket, so the hem and cuffs never ride up when scrambling over stiles or up crags for example. You get three huge chest pockets, and they maintain superb access even while wearing a rucksack. The hood can be rolled down and secured at the collar, while on the head the fit and movement are incredible. I've been wearing an Ogre for years and it is hard to see why I should stop.
Features: * 3-Layer Gore-Tex Pro Shell Ascender II fabric gives great durability and breathability * New 3 layer Gore-Tex Pro Shell Tenacity fabric reinforcements * Superb active cut provides exceptional freedom of movement * Award winning Stealth hood with laminated wired peak and hidden one pull adjusters. * Also features NEW larger bonded fleece chin guard, improved fit around the neck and one pull volume adjuster. * Moves with the head whether or not the user is wearing a helmet and provides total protection from the elements and maximum comfort * Narrow water resistant pocket zips offer increased weather protection * 2 large chest pockets can be used whilst wearing a rucksack or harness * New Stratum Storage System with 2 large chest pockets and 1 A4 sized Napoleon pocket all with protective plackets. * Internal zipped mesh pocket and mobile phone pocket * NEW dual hem shockcord system to prevent snagging * Drawcords at waist and hem are tethered and concealed * Adjust the cuff size perfectly to your wrist with the rubber cuff grabs
