Dylan also did this as a cover of an old Gypsy song about a looser who ditches a beautiful gypsy prophetess 4the morass valley bottom-feeders. - words2the song: your eyes are bright they shine just like two jewels in the sky; your back is straight, your hair is smooth on the pillow where you lie. but I sense no affection, no gratitude or love; your loyalty is not to me but to the stars above. One more cup of coffee for the road. One more cup of coffee before I go to the valley below. -- your father is an outlaw; a wanderer by trade. He will teach you how to pick and choose and how to throw the blade. He surveys his dominion so no stranger will intrude. His voice, it trembles as he calls for another plate of food. -- Your sister sees the future like your mother and yourself. You never learned to read or write; there are no books upon your shelf. Your pleasure knows no limit, your voice is like a meadow lark. But your heart is like an ocean: mysterious and dark.
I love your version.

@maryemackey hi mary. Thanks! I remember first hearing this on a BD album my friend had on cassette back in the day (1980) and we listened to it on the Way to Spain driving over the Pyrenees mountains, where I wrote the second part of my song "Run City Man" (see paulhallart00). And then it got left on the dashboard of our second hand Mercedes panel van we got from Holland and the speaker just under a grill partially erased the tape. But I finally learned it in Ketchikan Alaska in '09.
