Karen's house burglar

This burglar is breaking into homes in the Killarney and Fraserview areas of Vancouver, BC, Canada.

Description: Hispanic (dark complexion) male, slim bulid (140 pounds, 5 feet 10 inches tall), young (mid 20s), brown eyes, black hair, goatee(?).

He sometimes rides a bike but does not wear a helmet. He wears a green camouflage cap. His backpack (camouflage?) has 2 lighter stripes on the front.

He frequents A&W at Champlain Square. He snacks on mango, gelato and A&W rootbeer or cola when he is watching a house. He carries a pocket knife to peel mangos and cut window screens.

He may live in Killarney/Fraserview (southern part, close to Marine Drive?).

He has a device that can match the frequency of garage door openers to open your garage door in order to check whether your car is inside and thereby whether you are home or not.

He is cunning, persistent and patient. He will try all hours of day and night to find a time when you are away. He does not give up once he has his sight on you until he breaks into your home. He breaks into homes by forcing open or breaking windows. He works alone.

He has been seen outside of Fair Haven nursing home (2720 E 48th Ave) watching a house.

If you see him, please call 911 and quote case number: 10-131736. Note what he is wearing and in which direction he is heading to help police find him.
