SUBZERO, este es el nombre del nuevo proyecto surgido de las frías tierras de Villarcayo, pequeño pueblo del norte de Burgos donde el ROCK siempre ha tenido un pequeño lugar desde finales de los 80. Tras el parón de bandas como Toxic Squeak, Dear Twit, Tucson Rodeo o Teen Fuckers, SUBZERO recogen las cenizas de todas ellas y vuelven a prender fuego con más fuerza que nunca, apartandose de todos los prejuicios, que, como en todo en esta mundo, existen tambien en el ROCK. Kike Trashtornos (Enrique Roldan) a la bateria, Mr. Hell (Angel Vazquez) al bajo y voces, Iñako (Iñaki Gonzalez) a la guitarra solista, Jimmy (Jaime Carpintero) a la guitarra rítmica y Panzer (Roberto Varona) en la voz principal forman esta pequeña banda que, tras un año de duro trabajo en el local de ensayo y varios bolos por los alrededores de su pueblo, deciden entrar a grabar a los humildes estudios Checkpoint de Salas de Bureba, pueblo cercano a Villarcayo, en octubre del 2005 junto a Jaime y Felix. Las influencias son infinitas, desde el rock más clasico de ACDC, Thin Lizzy, Deep Purple, Led Zeppelin o Black Sabbath, hasta la oleada de punk rock escandinavo liderada por Turbonegro, Gluecifer y Hellacopters, pasando por el Hard Rock de Mötley Crue o Aerosmith, e incluso llegando a flirtear con el funky de James Brown y la lisergia de Jimmy Hendrix. En Febrero del 2007 empiezan a grabar lo que sera su segundo trabajo, y para abril esperan poder presentarlo por todo el Estado. Mientras, su video clip "Just a Game" supera ya las 2000 visitas en YouTube, y sus conciertos dejan muy buen sabor de boca. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- SUBZERO. This is the name of this band emerging from the cold land of Villarcayo in the north of Burgos (Spain), where Rock´n´Roll has always had its small place since the late 80´s. After the sudden halt of bands such as Toxic Squeak, Dear Twit, Tucson Rodeo or Thee Teen Fuckers, SUBZERO collects the ashes from all of them, stoke the flames and spring up as strong as ever. Leaving behind the harsh winter of 2004, Iñako, Trashtornos and Mr. Hell start to rehearse. Soon Martini joins the band, although this one leaves in october that very same year. Not long after this, they recruit Jimmy and Panzer, with whom they finally complete the conformation of the present band. A hectic 2005 summer giving shows and with a really good response from the public, makes them think about the idea of recording, and in october, they at last enter a studio. They choose "Checkpoint", a modest recording studio situated in Salas de Bureba, not far from Villarcayo, where their first CD is released. An homonymous ("Subzero"), desktop publishing and self-produced one. Good reviews from punk rock´n´roll especialized press give them the chance to perform out of Villarcayo (Bilbao, Burgos, Madrid...) where they leave a good taste in one´s mouth and where the 500 copies of their CD are sold out. They also present the CD in a varied number of music contests, in which they get several awards. One of them, The III Bilbovision Rock Contest, a local TV Radio station from Bilbao. The win 1st. prize which consists of the recording of a video-clip. It is from this video-clip that "Just a game" arises. Recorded in just half a day, to be more exact, in the evening of the 2nd September 2006, in a derelit slaughterhouse in Espinosa de Los Monteros (Burgos). The video-clip receives more than a thousand visits on the prestigious "YouTube.com" web in just two weeks. Now they are presenting the video-clip on national as well as international televisions as a foretaste of their second CD, which they will start to record in January.
