A collection of shared memories from 2008-2009 Iraq deployment. Rest in peace buddy. Jorge Oliveira was an infantry Staff Sergeant with the NJ National Guard who volunteered with a group of 50 friends to support operations in Afghanistan. He was killed in action on October 19, 2011. This was his third deployment. Back at home he was an Essex County Sheriff of 11 years. Before he left, he renovated his new home with the help of his brother. He was a great leader and friend to all that he met in the military.
