I've always considered myself to be moderately strong, fit and healthy. I've been into weight-lifting for years; I've competed in many long-distance races, including one marathon at the young age of 16; and I've obtained the rank of Black Belt in Korean martial arts. However, it wasn't until November of 2007--the month I was introduced to the competitors of Japan's famous Sasuke "Ninja Warrior" Competition--that I realized what it really meant to be strong. Powerful men and heros such as Makoto Nagano, Mr. Ninja Warrior, and Shunsuke Nagasaki acted as the catalyst to spark my desire to compete in Ninja Warrior, and so I immediately began my training.

As I mention in the video, my goal is to compete in the SPRING, 2009 Ninja Warrior Competition (in March of 2009), and I've trained hard for it. Of course, I'll continue my training, always progressing in strength, speed, agility, endurance, and flexibility, and I'll do my best to create small videos such as this one to chart my progression.

By the time I submit my G4 American Ninja Warrior Challenge Video (right around December, 2008 / January, 2009), I hope you'll all watch and vote for me. With your votes and with your support, I'll have the opportunity to travel to Japan and represent the American People in Sasuke's 22nd Season. However, I have no intention of simply going and competing and having a good time. I'm going to win! I'm going to become the first true American Ninja Warrior, by conquering all four stages and ascending to the summit of Mount Midoriyama!

Please continue to watch my videos. As time goes on, the videos will become more and more impressive. I promise you that.

Thanks for watching and for your support. If you leave a comment, please leave one of support and encouragement. Nobody likes receiving comments intended to ridicule and tear down one's dreams.

  • before you climb buildings do you ask the owner and have you ever been arrested for climbing?

  • Don't ask, don't tell... & ... What they don't know won't hurt them... Are two phrases I live by with my urban climbing. So, no, I don't ever ask permission. Probably because there's a 99.9 percent probability that they'd say no, and I can't have that.

Second question: No, I have never been caught or arrested. I'm just that good. Just kidding. Thanks for the questions!

  • i hope u get to go to japan and compete in ninja warrior. also i hope u get to the 4th and final stage. i give u the best of luck.

  • Thank you very much for your comment. I always appreciate the support of Ninja Warrior fans everywhere. Thanks again.

  • do you train parkour or only training for ninja warrior?

  • Yes, I also train parkour. Unfortunately, since I moved to my new area, I haven't been able to find anyone else to train with. So I've been forced to train by myself, which gets the job done, but is not nearly as enjoyable as getting together with friends.

  • amazing...

  • I've been wanting to strengthen my arms and legs but i haven't had the time to do it, so i was wandering if there was any kind of weight that you strap to your arms and legs and just wear them while doing your daily activities. I got the idea when my stepmom told me about one of the training excersises she used to do when she was on the swim team. They would wear old clothes while swimming to make them work harder, so then when they took it off they swam a lot faster.

  • Jake. Youse the man!! i subbed
