I've always been for organ donation. I never understood why someone wouldn't. Although you bring up a good point about "sacred" concept of the body. It made me think of the Egyptians who spent a lot of time preserving the organs for the afterlife. Still when I think of things in these terms. I believe the two are separate and your body could be much more useful, say helping save someones life rather than feeding the next tree. That one human could create a lot more compost from eating.

@DeadEndScreamer Also, ironically if you did somehow track me down, kill me etc I'm an organ donor, so my organs would also in fact be donated so all I have remaining to say is LOL!
-
@DeadEndScreamer Ok, bit of an over-reaction on your part there. I merely expressed my belief and even stated that there'd be the ability to opt out.
Also I'm not communist either - in UK political terms I'm actually classed as conservative, in US terms I'm thought of as democrat and I'm looking at pragmatically saving lives here. So you're entitled to your opinions but no need to be hostile.
And in the event I do make it mandatory with opt out, I say to you bring it - I don't fear death.

@SDWLLB Personally if you ever did somehow manage to make organ donation mandatory for anything I will personally hunt you down and kill you, you communist piece of shit.

Why the fucking hell would anyone want to give away organs, are you fucking mad, you know how much that shit costs on the black market, and you fucking get nothing, oh but the asshole surgeon will get another 300k this year putting your organs into someone else while your family gets fucking "thank you" cards.

@AdamGLewis That's what my dad told me when I got my license & the only reason I'm not a donor...I don't expect to ever get in a car accident anyway (though of course no one does expect that).
OH WHAT THE HELL, is there some kind of philosophically vacant discussion going on about "self interest?" Of course there's no true altruism, if you'd implicate feel-good neurotransmitters in actions, everything has a cause. Don't be tedious. Also rem, you're defending your insult with a moot point. Have some personal responsibility.
