  • mine dont glitch so mutch, but it is the h&b 2011 revision, without switch behind (autodetected)

    and wireless controlers (they suck)

sound still suck but everything else is more compatible

  • @sayastra Limited Edtition Streets of Rage kinda fixed the sound

  • The reason why the music was so damn fast is because you had the thing set to NTSC when playing the PAL cartridges. For correct game speed you have to play PAL cartridges on PAL setting and NTSC Genesis and Japanese cartridges on NTSC setting. Thats also why the sprites were glitchy. Not supposed to mix vice/versa with each other.

As for the shitty sound, the cheap console is to blame for that.

    Nice review though.

  • i bought one of these. i could care less if the sound is off. just as long as it works gameplay wise.

  • Worse then Sonic Genesis for GBA.

  • The reason later Japanese games with lockout don't work: On the original MD/Gen there were 2 blocks with 2 settings each: One is NTSC/PAL, and the other is Japan/Export (also called "Language" as some earlier games switch between the US and JP versions according to that, making it so both versions use the same circuitry). The latter of these is not on that system for some reason.

  • @MegaJacob97 sorry just read your comment but is your copy of sonic 3 the PAL version? because i have that version and the sprites are screwed. Its definaetely the british version of the console. Do you have the switch at NTSC or something? if you could help me out that'd be great.

  • Thats Funny because i have the british version by blaze and sonic 2 and 3 work perfectly in mine but mine dosnt have colums 3,sonic spinball, shinobi 3, and most of the others built in them mine has sonic and knuckles arrow flash eswat altered beast and a few more
