Here the Decap model-type 'Extra-Special' 105 Key Decap at the Pipes in the Peaks collection plays a Dick Gillet arranged book:

Moonlight Serenade
Besame Mucho
Harry Lime Theme
Holiday in Aberdeen

A recent addition to the collection near Ashbourne is this Decap 105 key Extra Special Dance Organ, which operates from traditional cardboard books but incorporates a combination of pipes and electronically generated sounds. It has three Crucianelli working accordions, and full pneumatically operated percussion, as well as xylophone. It was built in 1979 by Gebroeders Decap of Antwerp, Belgium.

It is used now to provide music before and during the intervals of Pipes in the Peaks Shows and Concerts, but was kindly played here for us by David Thorp who took time away from his busy work (at the Dovedale Garage, Thorpe) - very much appreciated.

  • Kevin Meayers has made some brilliant 105 key Decap music. The best I've ever heard if I'm honest. Would love to hear some one here.

  • I like the music it is playing.

  • All songs arranged by Dick Gillet except for the Harry Lime theme which was arranged by Albert Decap
