Polaris - Desmond & Penny

READ PLEASE
This video starts with a "speaking scene", goes on with the "music scenes", and ends with another "speaking scene". It also alternates present and past (the memories of Desmond, above all about Penny).
I try to follow the song's lyric as much as possible, even if I know that it could be done better but this is my first attempt to make something different, so give it a try ;)

This is the story, in case you're confused (the lyrics are in brackets):

PRESENT
Desmond thinks of Penny's words, turns the fail-safe key and suddenly he starts to remember...
PAST
- he throws the wedding ring in the river / he starts to destroy the room
(" I know I've made mistakes, I've always been afraid")
- he shipwrecked on the island
("A thousand nights or more, I travel east and north")
PRESENT
- Des runs to talk with Penny and screams her name, but Charlie close the door
("Please answer the door")
PAST
- Des looks at the photo of him & Penny remembering how it was taken
("You say that love goes anywhere,
in your darkest time, it's just enough to know it's there")
- he falls down and Penny helps him
("Get down on your knees, whisper what I need, something pretty")
- Des comes back home, looks at Penny, smiles and kisses her
(I'll look at you and know, the world was beautiful)
- Des & Penny argue and she goes away
("When you go, I'll let you be, but you're killing everything in me")
- Des swims and holding the cable ("I try but can't let it go") thinks to the last time that he saw Penny, to how it's been hard don't tell her the truth about his feelings and about the cruelty of her father
("Are you happy where you're standing still? Do you really want the sugar pill? I'll wake up tomorrow and I'll start, tonight it feels so hard")
- Penny kisses Des
("I'm sure your kiss remains employed
Am I only dreaming?")
- Penny & Des first meet
PRESENT
Charlie warns Des that it isn't Penny's boat, so Des goes back to the beach and runs to inform his fellows but finds his book and the photo, and asks for one last chance.
