Clean But Empty Hands

There was a lady who passed away and met God at the gates of Heaven. She reckoned she did no harm to others and should be welcomed but God said sternly to her, "Your hands are clean but empty as well." In his homily on 29 Jan 2012 at Blessed Sacrament Church (BSC), Fr Johan Wongso reminded us that thinking only about ourselves is a grave sin too; we not only need to avoid temptations and sin but also open our hearts to others.
