  • I think we just need to wait and see you performing better that "this guy" in some 30 years from now, when age and injuries take their toll.

  • With all due respect, it might perhaps of old school or old age, in the current eye of ITF it have lots of technical shortcomings which left to be desire.

  • Please keep in mind that the footage was recorded 13 years ago and was published here for historical purposes, not to compare it with current ITF requirements.

  • wouldnt like to get hit by those techniques though! better than some posey show off competition style tul with no power. and for his age and health status at the time i think its a brilliant performance by anyones standards.

  • i love reading comments from ITF people that put down other masters performing patterns. even when these masters had a huge part to play in the development of what they call TaeKwon-Do today.

when have we seen any footage of Choi Hong Hi performing patterns???

Grand Master Park was an original foundation stone of TaeKwon-Do and along with a long list of fellow original members of the Ohdokwan, allowed Gen. Choi take all the limelight due to his position.

  • :O Amazing form.

  • @jungshin Absolutely correct about all the above. I was fortunate to take my black belt test with my instructor and also GM Park Jung Tae before he passed away( in the mid 90s. Very humble individual given his absolutely legendary flying kicks, multiple kicks (before we had youtube tutorials) he pioneered what many today call good technique. Any TKD practitioner worth his/her salt should give BIG respect to"this guy"

  • He was a really great guy. He use to come down to Corpus Christi, TX for Belt Testing

  • There is nothing to be gained by posting negative comments on the internet.

Why any martial artist would do this is beyond me.

  • This man is legendary!!

  • @GizmoTKD

  • @GizmoTKD AGREED

  • old school

  • He's old there. He helped Gen Choi design most of the ITF patterns. other than Gen. Choi, GM Park had a bigger influence on tkd technique than anyone.
