The Cuyahoga Land Bank partnered with the City of East Cleveland to demolish 27 apartment buildings and 31 homes that have long stood vacant and abandoned, in addition to deconstruction on five more such apartment buildings. The project cost approximately $1 million, created eight jobs, saved 80% of the wood and 60% of the brick in the deconstructed structures and created three redevelopment ready sites for new housing or commercial and mixed use development.
