Scenes and highlights from QUILTERS, performed by Imagination Stage's Musical Theatre Conservatory (Fall 2007).
Quilters by Molly Newman and Barbara Damashek. Directed by Rachel Dempsey and Music Directed by Debbie Jacobson. Performed by the Musical Theatre Conservatory (class of 2007) on December 14-16, 2007 in the Christopher and Dana Reeve Studio Theatre. Cast members seen here include Eliza Bray, Tamara Breuer, Maaike Dokter; Katy Ford, Simone Janssen, and Hanna Wade.
Quilters is a spirited tale of the resilience of our countrys pioneer women. The story is told using quilting as a metaphor for the life journey of one woman. Quilting is more than just making a blanket, it is writing a journal. With help from her daughters, Sarah takes the audience on a journey that leads into a world we have only known through our history class.
Students of the Musical Theatre Conservatory work for 3 semesters with two teaching artists on vocal, acting, and movement technique. Their final semester is spent rehearsing their graduation show with a guest team of directors and designers.

There is no way to perform Quilters correctly. It is an abomination of theatre.
