Although 99% of the Dutch name it Holland, this low country is called the Netherlands. Don't say Sechuan in stead of China, call the US Texas, or replace Germany with Bavaria. Think before you stink!

paulatwe, I don't know what you're talking about. My inlaws say 'Holland' and a very good friend of mine tell me she lives in 'Holland'? So, I have no idea what you're talking about, other than the fact that I know when addressing an envelope to them, I write, "The Netherlands" Why are you having a sh*t fit? I could care less if someone from Europe calls my country "The States", even though none of us here do.
