This was my near-mint condition Electrolux 330 Automatic from 1973 that I sold a while back. It was a short lived model and ran from 1973-75 and was replaced by the 345. It featured an Automatic floortool that retracted its brushes when cleaning carpets and released them automatically when vacuuming hardfloors. It would also switch itself off if it became blocked or the bag got too full and the orange light would come on. The knob at the front of the machine controlled the sensitivity of this. My 330 also has a very rare optional Turbinette floor tool, it was an early style of suction driven power head. In the video I use it with a later style hose from a 302 model as the original weaved hose tends to lose a lot of suction now because of its age.

  • what country is this from, its amazing!

  • @thekingofsobe It's from England

  • How long was the 345 in production for?? I don`t collect vacuum cleaners but I`ve got one which is absolutely mint - even with it`s original electrolux bag. I`m hanging on to it as it really is a nicely made machine and may be worth something for antique value one day?!!!

  • @seventeesweremagic the 345 had a pretty long production run, from 1975-1980 when it was replaced by the 355 and 350 series. They always hold their money and are always popular

  • o wow boring

  • I had one of these but the berings went due to where it was kept. On the old Electrolux when it was plugged in the orange light used to come on.

  • Nice vintage vac. I remember we had the brown Z345 which was really nicely made and lasted years. I remember that you could remove the top outlet grille and filter pad and you could attach the hose to the air outlet port and use it as a blower! I'm almost certain that it came with some kind of spray gun too, which I think had a glass container. Having the blow facility was quite handy at times and not something you get on most models these days.

  • We had for many years a brown version just like this, i noticed that the dial for how full you want the bag on your one is orange lines representing how full, well ours had numbers instead and i rememeber it saying automatic. Its hose looked like a snake and only had a 750 watt motor.

It was replaced in 1992 with a Hoover Aquamaster.

  • This video sucks! Just kidding. Actually, thanks for sharing. It brings back many memories, including the time my mom sucked the dog's tail up in the carpet attachment. The poor dog would never get near a vacuum again!

  • I love Electrolux vacuums. My family owns a 2100 (I think from the 90's) They're great. I remember how surprised I was when I first experienced how powerful it was compared to our old Panasonic.
