The original Barbie was a life size sex doll discovered in Germany by the wife of a senior executive at Mattel in the 1950's it was brought back to the USof A minaturized and voila marketed to little girls as the female ideal.

I totally agree with you, barbie dolls used to be so classy and now it's more of a street fashion thingi. But hey, they price of it has gone down, so many that's the reason why the quality of it has one down too...

the old fifties barbies were so much better: they were really classy, but now they just embody everything that's tacky and tasteless.
