@Anekantavad i think it is fallacy of ambiguity to say book burning is what Nazis do... moustache wearing is what Hitler did... but OK i see you do not appreciate it in this particular case... for me it is hard to invent some less messy but yet powerful advertisement of the problem with Islam followers...

Instead of burning the Qur'an, it needs to be exposed. That might destroy more Qur'ans than that Pastor was about to burn.

@neskuma I think it's simply that the US public and the west in general is very edgy about terrorism. We have a gigantic fixation on the issue, even though individually we'd be a lot better advised to worry about cholesterol or a car accident.
OTOH, the Islamic world is fixated upon Israel/Palestine and issues of defamation, where they would be much better off concentrating on poverty, education, democracy and modernization.
We're both of us really barking up the wrong tree.

@Anekantavad i can agree that Islam is in great part just a life style but doomed to be harshly questioned for very hostile deeds done in name of it in recent decades... average westerners who have no idea of sensitivities of average Muslims are neighbours now... even if politicians are polite with the issue it tend to be perceived like cowardice of public person which adds to tension begging for relief in rude manner... (i am still playing devils/masses advocate)
