LOL at porpoisefathom.
-
id still add outriggers ..i love the weta design. its a combo of monohull with the tris stability and speed. points higher too than a standard tri...sitting in a cockpit looks more fun to me than leaning out over the waves all day long getting soaked for hours...but hey to each thier own
-
@porpoisefathom tri sux. no fun. heeling is what makes a monohull a monohul! its AWESOME! more of a challenge too! only pussies who are scared of a little water sail tris
-
hey man, love your work!
i heard Line7 is gone?
doing some 29er sailing in berlin!

yeah easy concepts- they plane off at a certain speed- they use a counterbablance- human - to counter the effect of the center of effort on the keel or the force vector acting sideways to keep the boat losing its initial stabilitywhich might cause it to roll over or capsize. lol--you should check out the WETA trimaran. its the same idea. its a skiff redesigned to use floats to counter the forces rather than humans hiking way the fuck outboard...it wouldnt need a keel. and less drag resistance.

they are the olympic class for a reason
-
whoa you really dont understand the concept of these boats
-
wat??? that makes no sense.
@porpoisefathom hahah have you ever sailed a boat before???we live for leaning out over the waves at high speed!!!

because you would have to completely redesign the entire boat.
