Chivas USA is back in contention. Making the most of their few opportunities, they defeated the Colorado Rapids 2-1 via goals from Jesse Marsch and Jorge Flores. After earning only five points in their first seven games, they now find themselves with a two-game winning streak and a place near the top of the crowded Western Conference standings.
