I worked a union job at a grocery store for 2 summers. I didn't enjoy the job, and I didn't feel more respected because I had a union job. The general manager was an asshole, but so was the union rep. One of my fellow coworkers left the union job to work at Walmart, because he was treated better and paid better for working harder. Are there bad Walmarts? Yes there are, but to lump them all together is most moronic thing to do.

@reefcrazy30 they also have brown noses and and big lips too I saw pretty damn good workers getting shit while brown nosers had all the rewards. thats what wal mart stands for

@lulushortcake God you are so right on this! I have worked there for 7 years (7 years in hell) and I saw unfair things you can't imagine how outrageous it was. the salary is poor, the atmosphere is poor, and the employees there aren't treated descently. If WM was to go bankurpt, I would laugh my ass off!

Shop somewhere, anywhere else. Everybody wants cheap and this is what you get. The patrons are the problem. If Walmart went out of business I certainly would not shed a tear. Scum of the earth. Should change their name to China Mart or Liar Mart. Send some more jobs overseas.

I used to work for Wal-Mart. They fired me for two days missed work with a Dr. note. But some Girls can miss two weeks with no call no shows and still have a job!!!!!!!!!!! The Browner your nose is and the bigger the lips are the better you get to stay.

walmart is a crappy place to work..... for low wages...
wow-ard, you are telling me that there is some 'REAL' basis on which to support the shit wages and healthcare, intimidation, and harassment of workers, because you accept a job? a lot of people accept positions because it's the best they can get...starve or work at wal-mart? hmm, hard choice. my point, since you were too dim to glean it, is that there is nothing fixed, stable, etc. to qualify or more specifically, quantify, workers' wages, other than the rampant greed of employers.

Actually Walmart has the policy that they tell you that you will get health benefits after you work there a year... And after yout work there a year... they lay you off and hire someone new... who they tell that they will get healthcare benefits after they work there a year....... ect... ect... Walmart is a horrible place to work...
I worked there over a year... and I have never worked at a place that was more depressing...
