  • Did you just say that it only goes 26 miles between charges?

  • @altops I only filmed the project. Please email the individual in the sidebar for that info. thanks for watching.

  • Nice job there!!

Is the electrical engine connected directly on the transmission or is the clutch in between?

  • Prof, please read the specs on the side, it provides all the details of the process and parts. Thanks, Diana

  • nice..i am going to convert my e 46 bmw to electric, but i want more range,at least 80-100 miles,i start looking from where to buy parts and batteries, but here in my country ( Romania ) it a little bit hard to register electric cars..i will post a video when the car is ready..wish me luck :D

  • LOL sorry to be the dick Joe, I like your project a lot ...

Seriously though get a fucking real roll bar.

  • @KeLDTsGuitarist67 What you're talking about is like a perpetual motion idea. Problem is, because of friction and heat, there is always a loss of power. So it would take more energy to turn the alternator than it would produce. Adding an alternator to an electric engine would only drain it faster.

  • you managed to find a way to make the Miata MORE gay.

  • @djhivesdotcom Actually they have electric cars now that get 300 miles to a charge. This guy did a good job. Your the hippy here.not him. He just sees a better potentional for the future

  • @atomrocketcar Correction, you mean "Idea" not ideal. and what are you talking about? how is what working for the government?

  • @djhivesdotcom what crappy junk do you drive? suv?? real fast fat buddy

  • @KeLDTsGuitarist67 yes great ideal idiot,.how is it working for the goverment

  • 26 miles is pretty low. but there is a simple solution that i have not seen applied to an electric car yet... why hasn't anyone added an alternator or two to the loop..? gas cars have them so why not electric cars, it makes perfect sense. modify the motor or transmission if you have to.

  • The only problem with electric cars is the impact on the environment. Gas cars should be getting well over 100mpg by now but greed and certain types of regulation prevent it.
