Kyra, Edie or Mariska anyday over this doofus. She reminds me of something called mini-me. Of what there are a whole HOST of things-ranging from an elephant seal to Chatty Cathy!

They were right to cut her off. 1. She went over time, which networks no longer allow for time constraints and to keep live shows moving when stars get long-winded. 2. Ms. Field is very talented, but her personal political opinions were irrelevant and out of place. She should have said "thanks" and left. Ever since Vanessa Redgrave made a scene at the Oscars back in the 70's, these "stars" have felt it is ok to use their speech time on live TV to self-aggrandize and promote their own propaganda.
