  • Just saw your topic at the HachiRoku forum (not a member)... always great to see an All-Trac wagon eating up the elements like they're nothing!

Did you get to dyno the wagon with this swap? What did it put down? I have an 88 All-Trac wagon, love it, but it needs more power so badly. I've considered the 20v Blacktop, or buying a 16v bigport and building it up (NA). I like that the 20v block requires less grinding to the block than the other 4AGE blocks...

  • @azotus have not dynoed it yet. I still had to take off quite a bit on the block so i can just imagine how much needs to come off of a 16v.

  • Yeah, it compromises the oil pan seal when the 16v blocks are ground down to clear the transfer case. I decided to use a 4AFE block with GE head... also use all my accessories (PS, AC, alternator). I couldn't find a straight answer online about whether the FE accessories lined up properly on a GE block. But the GE head bolts right up to an FE block... GE crank & rods, FE crank pulley, I don't see how it should be a problem. Or so I hope!
