a few weeks ago i finished school and i was depressed and wasnt sleeping and eating properly so i was weighing myself knowing something was wrong and i was losing weight everyday and i knew it was unhealthy so i decided to go back to school to help out and it actually helped alot and now i've put the weight back on with muscle and i'm doing more exercise and i'm just more happy now :) yay

I do see weird pockets where the fat is going away and muscle is forming. I don't feel so bad that the scale has suddenly shot up a couple of pounds and I am doing everything the same

I am 15 year old girl living in hawaii that is always thinking im fat compared to all the beautiful girls here, and im always sooo depressed that i end up not carring anymore. Even the kids at school mention my weight and i mena its not like im super fat, im built and sure i admit im a little over weight but u have given me a reason to start my new healthy plan, exercize more, eat healthier and less and relax and not be so stressed. thank you again!!! your my hero!!
Obesity is hellishly complex. Genuine science has linked genetics, gut microbiota, lack of sleep, toxins, malnutrition and much more to obesity.
No one has the secret to fat loss. Dr. Jeffrey Friedman and other scientists have been woirking overtime for many years. Obesity is FAR from solved. There are far less knowns than unknowns.
GENUINE science always admits uncertainty and vast unknowns.
Science does not currently understand the chemical behavior of fat cell receptors.
alot of the reason why people focus on losing weight is because you can see what's happening aka the scale is less than before means I'm doing a good job. it's harder to measure the loss of body fat so if we made it easier to measure body fat maybe it will be easier for the common person to say I want to lose body fat rather than I want to lose weight.
i've stopped weighing myself - i started running/powerwalking about 3 months ago, and i was REALLy obsessed with getting the numbers on the scale to go down.. But then people started telling me that i had become more fit , wich i didn't understand since my weight has gone UP. but than i realized that i gained muscles and that i acutally had become more fit.. And since i was normal weight from the beginning, i didnt have that much fat to loose. So people, DON'T GET OBSESSED WITH THE NUMBERS!
