2009 USC Annenberg Walter Cronkite Award Luncheon

April 15, 2009: Local Station winners included KING-TV (Seattle), WGAL-TV (Lancaster, PA), News 8 Austin and Wisconsin Public TV. The award for Individual Achievement at a Local Station went to Greg Fox, WESH-TV (Winter Park, Florida). Hearst-Argyle won in the Station Group category, while ABC News' This Week with George Stephanopoulos and NOW on PBS took prizes in the National Network Program Category. Jo Wan, of KTSF, won a Special Commendation for Service to a Community and Katie Couric, anchor and managing editor of the CBS Evening News, was awarded a Special Achievement for National Impact on the 2008 Campaign.
The 2009 Cronkite Awards are given for coverage of the 2008 election.
